Once you have started a blog in an academic setting you must ensure that you have clear goals for the blog and that you can keep up with your objectives. There must be interaction and participation for it to be sustainable and interesting otherwise its just you talking to yourself.
Another approach would be to start using for a specific purpose and have the functionality evolve as the course matures.

ReplyDeleteYes, the lecturer would have to remember that academic blogs are like any other teaching/learning strategy and to ensure they are well managed as with everything else in the online/offline teaching/learning environment.
